Itinerary
Our tour representative will welcome you at Srinagar airport and escort you to your pre-booked hotel or houseboat. After relaxing a bit during your comfy stay, we will take you on a tranquil one-hour Shikara ride (a gondola boat ride) on Dal Lake. This region is known as the “Venice of India.” One can easily be immersed in its breathtaking beauty while floating on water. While you enjoy sightseeing, the tour will head to local markets where you can explore handcrafted decor and clothing items made from Walnut wood and locally-made wool. At night, we shall return to the Deluxe Houseboat/Hotel for a good night’s sleep.
In the morning, have your breakfast while breathing fresh mountain air and enjoying natural landscape views. After that, we’ll head to Sonamarg, which is located at an altitude of 9000 feet above sea level. This place is also known as “The Meadow of Gold” because of its eye-catching backdrop, boasting snowy mountains that seem to touch the cerulean skies. The Sindh River flows through the lush green valley and is home to trout and mahseer. Thajiwas glacier is another top attraction of this region. This place is usually open for trekking during the summer. After a day full of adventures, return to a houseboat or hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
On the third day, the tour will move to a full-day trip to Pahalgam, also called the Valley of Shepherds. The tour passes through the saffron fields of Pampore, Awantipora Ruins, and Bijbehara village, famous for its breadbasket. In Pahalgam, you can enjoy a nature walk around the River Lidder. Pahalgam is the base camp for the Amarnath Pilgrimage and has many trekking routes to places like Aru and Betaab Valley. At night, you’ll stay at a pre-booked hotel.
The tour will head from Pahalgam to Srinagar. En route the Awantipura Ruins of the 9th Century, as well as the Mattan Temple Complex. In the afternoon, you’ll visit Mughal Gardens – “Nishat” (The Garden of Bliss) and “Shalimar” (Abode of Love). Furthermore, you’ll see a local Handicrafts Emporium that’s famous for hand-knotted shawls, silken carpets, and jewelry pieces. Shankaracharya Temple is another favorite tourist spot in the region. At night, you’ll return to the hotel for dinner and a comfortable sleep.
It will be a full-day excursion to Gulmarg, aka “Meadow of Flowers.” It is at a distance of 53 km from Srinagar and situated at 8700 feet from sea level. There is also a popular Ski Resort for adventure lovers. Another spot that you cannot miss out on is the world’s highest golf course, which was quite prominent during the British era. After That, catch the bird-eye view of Kongdori through a Cable Car Ride. Finally, for dinner and an overnight stay, we’ll return to the hotel.
